Avoid simple email mistakes
|
|
You can do some very simple things to avoid mistakes that could sabotage your email marketing efforts. Check out Inbox Marketer Account Manager Emily Maloney's top mistakes to look out for:
Not asking for the opt-in
It sounds obvious, but if you're running a contest or any other request for information, don't forget to ask for an email address and a checkbox to opt in! The opt-in should include specific language on what people are opting in for: "Please email me monthly news and deals from Wonderful Widgets."
Similarly, remember to include a prominent email opt-in on your website, asking people to sign up for your newsletter or special offers. Don't bury it at the bottom.
